The exposition tells about the birth and childhood years of N.E. Zhukovsky in the village of Orekhovo, Vladimir province. Education in the IV Moscow male gymnasium. University years at the Physics and Mathematics Faculty of the Imperial Moscow University, teachers and friends of Zhukovsky. Pedagogical and scientific activities as a scientist in mechanics with a wide range of scientific interests, participation in various scientific and technical societies in Russia. Work in a new branch of science: aeronautics and flight theory, discovery of the law of buoyancy (1904) and, together with Chaplygin, the basics of aerodynamics. The final part of the exposition is dedicated to Zhukovsky as the organizer of aviation educational institutions: courses in aviation theory for pilots, aviation technical school and the Ballooning Academy.
The centrepiece of the room is an ancient fireplace with dark green tiles, and furniture from the study of Zhukovsky. On the perimeter are showcases with documents, photographs and sculptural portraits of famous scientists of the time. There are paintings and framed photographs on the walls.
